- Not only did Henry VIII lack sufficient vitamin C (WORLD,
- Sept. 11), but so did 40% of the patients we examined in 1988
- as part of a research program. To be accepted, these chronically
- ill people had to have been treated without adequate results by
- at least three physicians. None of these patients, who came from
- various parts of the country, had ever had their vitamin C
- levels checked. Ninety-eight percent of them achieved normal
- vitamin C levels within 100 days by eating raw fruits and
- vegetables and taking appropriate vitamin C supplements.
